Submitting Your Site to Search Engines

by Emma McCreary

People used to submit every page of their site every month, in the hopes that they would rank higher on search engines. Modern search engines prefer to find your site the “natural” way by following links from other sites to your site. So, go ahead and submit, but be sure to also cultivate good incoming links.

Blogs

A great way to take advantage of automated feeds is to start a blog. Most blog engines have an integrated way to "ping" sites like Technorati that are search engines just for blogs. This means any time you write a new post, they are notified that your content was been updated.
INFO THAT IS STILL USEFUL
